Recaps for the Seattle Mariners top affiliates for Tuesday night provided by team releases and wire reports.

Tacoma (AAA) 11, New Orleans 8

TACOMA, Wash. – Boog Powell hit a two-run single in the third inning, leading the Tacoma Rainiers (20-11) to an 11-8 win over the New Orleans Baby Cakes (11-21) on Tuesday.

The single by Powell came in the midst of a six-run inning and gave the Rainiers a 3-2 lead. Later in the inning, Daniel Vogelbach hit a two-run single and then scored on a single by Tyler Smith.

The Rainiers later added runs in four additional innings to secure the victory, including a home run by Mike Zunino.

Tacoma starter Andrew Moore (1-0) picked up the win in his AAA debut despite allowing three runs over 5 2/3 innings. Opposing starter Vance Worley (1-5) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game after a rough outing in which he allowed eight runs and 12 hits over six innings.

NW Arkansas 3, Arkansas (AA) 1

SPRINGDALE, Ark. – Matt Tenuta tossed six scoreless innings, leading the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (18-12) over the Arkansas Travelers (12-19) in a 3-1 win on Tuesday. The Naturals swept the four-game series with the win.

Tim Hill struck Joey Wong out with a runner on second to end the game for his first save of the season.

Tenuta (2-1) allowed four hits while striking out four to pick up the win.

NW Arkansas started the scoring in the second inning when Frank Schwindel hit a solo home run.

After NW Arkansas added two runs, the Travelers cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Jay Baum hit a solo home run.

Lindsey Caughel (2-3) went six innings, allowing two runs and three hits to take the hard-luck loss in the Texas League game. He also struck out three and walked one.

Modesto (High-A) 15, Lancaster 13

LANCASTER, Calif. – Gianfranco Wawoe hit a two-run single in the ninth inning, leading the Modesto Nuts (20-12) to a 15-13 win over the Lancaster JetHawks (14-18) on Tuesday.

Spencer Herrmann struck Roberto Ramos out with a runner on third to end the game for his first save of the season.

The single by Wawoe, part of a four-run inning, tied the game 13-13 before Eric Filia hit a two-run single later in the inning.

Matt Walker (2-0) got the win in relief while Salvador Justo (2-4) took the loss in the California League game.

In the losing effort, Brendan Rodgers, Sam Hilliard and Yonathan Daza each had three hits for Lancaster. The JetHawks also hit a season-high four home runs.

With the win, Modesto remains undefeated (4-0) against Lancaster this season.

Lansing 11, Clinton (Low-A) 6

CLINTON, Iowa – Bo Bichette singled three times, scoring two runs as the Lansing Lugnuts (18-12) defeated the Clinton LumberKings (11-19) 11-6 on Tuesday.

Edward Olivares doubled twice and singled with four runs for Lansing.

Lansing started the scoring in the first inning. After hitting a double, Olivares scored on a single by Bichette.

Clinton answered in the bottom of the inning when Bryson Brigman scored on a wild pitch to tie it up.

The Lugnuts took the lead for good in the third when Vladimir Guerrero hit an RBI single, driving in Olivares.

Lansing right-hander Andy Ravel (3-0) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing four runs on seven hits over seven innings. Opposing starter Nick Wells (0-3) took the loss in the Midwest League game after a rough outing in which he allowed seven runs and nine hits over five innings.
