Robber fires at customer in north Spokane

From staff reports

A robber armed with a shotgun fired at a customer Sunday night at a north Spokane convenience store.

Police were called to Hai’s Mini Market, 5112 N. Crestline, about 7:30 p.m., Spokane police said in a news release.

The robber entered the store and demanded money, police said. After the clerk gave him cash, the robber fired at a person who was entering the store. The shot missed.

The robber is described as black, in his mid-20s, about 5-feet-9, with a medium-to-heavy build. He was wearing white high-top sneakers, black hat, black-hooded sweatshirt and blue jean shorts.

Police ask anyone with information on the robbery to call (509) 456-2233.
