SAN FRANCISCO – Washington State wide receiver Brandon Arconado and linebacker Peyton Pelluer were named to the 2017 Pac-12 Football All-Academic second team and eight other Cougars were named honorable mention.
Arconado, a redshirt sophomore who’s yet to declare a major, registered a 3.38 GPA. Pelluer is a Humanities major from Sammamish, Washington, and registered a 3.36 GPA to earn all-academic recognition for the second time in his career.
The WSU players who earned honorable mention were: defensive linemen Nick Begg, Tristan Brock and Taylor Comfort, quarterbacks Luke Falk and Trey Tinsley, linebacker Isaac Dotson, wide receiver Dezmon Patmon and long snapper Kyle Celli.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and appear in at least 50 percent of their team’s games.
