Roast House celebrates expansion

Roast House is hosting an open house Thursday to celebrate its recent expansion.

The award-winning boutique coffee roaster has expanded into the adjacent bay at its East Cleveland Avenue warehouse.

It’s also added a cupping room and retail coffee bar, complete with milk-based drinks and ceramic cups.

So, it’s celebrating with an open house and free coffee drinks from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday.

Ask to try the limited-release Kenya Karimikui AA – with notes of pink grapefruit, caramel and rose – and the House decaf, which won silver and bronze respectively in the recent North American Golden Bean Awards in Portland.

Roast House will continue to offer free tastings in its newly enlarged space.

But its stand-up bar, featuring a high-tech ModBar brewing system, will now serve as a retail operation.
