YWCA Spokane raises $306,000 at Women of Achievement luncheon

The YWCA Spokane reported raising $306,000 at its annual Women of Achievement luncheon last week.
More than 50 companies and organizations helped sponsor the event attended by over 1,000 guests.
“The money raised at this luncheon has benefited the YWCA Spokane’s services for domestic violence victims and their children,” said Regina Malveaux, chief executive officer of YWCA Spokane, in a news release. “It has evolved into our biggest fundraising event.”
The luncheon launches the YWCA’s annual fundraising campaign to raise over $700,000 to support its work in Spokane and surrounding counties.
The event also aims to raise awareness about domestic violence in the community, the news release said.
