Slowpitch softball roundup: Jaelin Strand homers twice for Bears in mammoth victory over Lewis and Clark

Central Valley 31 Lewis and Clark 3: Jaelin Strand went 3 for 4 with six RBIs and two home runs and visiting Central Valley (15-1) defeated Lewis and Clark (5-11) in a 31-3 rout. Haley Johnson went 5 for 5 with four RBIs for the Bears.

East Valley 12, Gonzaga Prep 8: Abby Brake went 3 for 4 with a two-run home run and three RBIs and East Valley (6-7) beat visiting Gonzaga Prep (1-14) 12-8. Emma Glore was 3 for 3 with two RBIs for the Knights.

University 9, Mead 1: Sisters Brooklyn and Brianna Hecker combined to go 6 for 7 with four doubles and University (17-0) handled Mead (12-5) 9-1. Brianna Hecker drove in three while Brooklyn Hecker had one RBI.

Mt. Spokane 7, Shadle Park 0: Jesse Dupuis went 3 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI and Mt. Spokane (11-3) shut out visiting Shadle Park (2-12) 7-0. Meghan Keenan had two hits for Shadle Park.

Rogers 17-33, North Central 0-12: Ryan James was 5 for 5 with five RBIs and a two-run home run and Rogers (7-8) coasted to a 33-12 victory over visiting North Central (5-10) in the second game to earn a doubleheader sweep at North Central. Gracie Olsen went 4 for 5 with a grand slam and six RBIs for the Pirates. Paula Pintler hit a grand slam and finished 2 for 3 with four RBIs for the Indians.

Gracie Olsen was 4 for 4 with a two-run home run and 7 RBIs in the first game for the Pirates.
