Worley man killed by tractor

A Worley man died Tuesday morning after being run over by the tractor he was operating.

Arthur R. Brand, 74, was pushing a rock down steep terrain before he was thrown forward from the tractor and run over, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred around 10 a.m. at 23100 South U.S. 95, per the Sheriff’s Office, and is still under investigation.

Brand was the owner of Fighting Creek Materials, a stone-crushing business.
