Girls soccer: Geiger scores 3 goals in Medical Lake’s victory

Makayla Geiger scored three goals and Medical Lake beat visiting Colville 3-0 in a 1A District 7 knockout match on Tuesday.

Jaxyn Farmen assisted on Geiger’s first two goals. Taylor Cannon and Anastasia Hurt-Moran combined in goal for the shutout.

The Cardinals move on in the 1A District 7 Cup to face Lakeside, which had a bye into the second round.

Freeman 3, Riverside 1: Lindsay Balkenbush scored the game’s first goal in the 11th minute and the Scotties beat Riverside in a Northeast 1A District 7 first-round game. Brynn Van Orden assisted on two goals for the Scotties.

Kennewick 2, Rogers 0: The Pirates lost to Kennewick in a Washington 3A District 8 play-in game.
