Idaho men’s basketball hit the road for an extra exhibition, playing the Oregon Ducks on Saturday to benefit the Red Cross.

The game didn’t go Idaho’s way, but together the Vandals and the Ducks helped raise $17,465 for the Red Cross to help bring relief to those affected by the wildfires in Oregon.

Idaho stayed close with Oregon through the first half, but the Ducks pulled away in the second to take the 81-57 win.

Victor Sanders finished with a team-high 15 points on 4-of-9 shooting in 10 minutes of action for Idaho. Nate Sherwood also finished in double figures, scoring 13 points and adding a game-high five boards.

The Vandals will take on Lewis-Clark State on Sunday, November 5 at 4 p.m. in Memorial Gym before kicking off the regular season on the road at Nevada on November 10.
