Girls soccer: Lauren Chester collects five assists and University handles West Valley

University 8, West Valley 1: Lauren Chester finished with five assists and one goal to lead host University (1-1) to a nonleague win over West Valley (0-2) on Tuesday. Tessa Thornton and Kelsey Crosby added two goals apiece for the Titans.

Shadle Park 4, Deer Park 3: Olivia Wicks scored in the 78th minute to lift visiting Shadle Park (1-1) over Deer Park (1-1) in a nonleague match. Kayla Clark scored twice for the Highlanders – including the tying goal in the 65th minute. Emmy Moore and Jessie Thomas each had a goal and an assist for Deer Park.

Clarkston 3, Cheney 1: Makenzie Packwood scored a goal with a pair of assists to lead Clarkston (1-0, 1-0) over visiting Cheney (1-2. 0-1) in a Great Northern League match.

East Valley 3, Pullman 0: Chloe Gellhaus scored the first goal in the 43rd minute and visiting East Valley (2-1, 1-0) defeated Pullman (0-2, 0-1) in a Great Northern League contest on Tuesday. Sydney Moore scored in the 56th minute and Autumn Stewart rounded out the scoring in the 83rd.

Freeman 2, Lakeside (WA) 1: Macie Luhr scored twice in the first half and visiting Freeman (2-0. 1-0) held off Lakeside (1-1, 1-1) 2-1 in a Northeast A League match. Maddie Hall scored in the 47th minute but Riverside couldn’t find the equalizer.

Medical Lake 2, Riverside 1: Medical Lake (2-1, 2-0) beat Riverside (0-2, 0-2) in a Northeast A League match.

Colville 6, Newport 4: Keren Torres recorded five goals to lead visiting Colville (1-1) over Newport (0-2) in a Northeast A League contest. Stephanie Huang led Newport with a pair of goals and an assist.

Lake City 2, Post Falls 0: Courtney Cydell scored in the 34th minute and visiting Lake City (2-0-1) blanked Post Falls (1-3-1) in a 5A Inland Empire League match.

Sandpoint 4, Moscow 1: Sandpoint (4-0, 3-0) beat Moscow (1-2-1, 0-2) in a 4A Inland Empire League match.

Lakeland 5, Bonners Ferry 1: Megan Rauvola scored a hat trick and Lakeland (2-3) defeated visiting Bonners Ferry (2-4) in a nonleague game on Tuesday.

Timberlake 1, Coeur d’Alene Charter 1: Erica Vanderhoof scored the tying goal in the 78th minute and visiting Timberlake tied Coeur d’Alene Charter. Sandy Faulkner scored in the first minute for CdAC.
