Motorcyclist killed in crash with deer

A man was killed early Tuesday when his motorcycle collided with a deer in northwestern Spokane County.

The motorcyclist, who has not been named, was riding west on Coulee Hite Road about 4:30 a.m. when he struck the deer just east of Wood Road, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. He died at the scene.

Coulee Hite Road is closed in the area as the scene is investigated.
