Volleyball: Miahna Waters paces Mt. Spokane in sweep of Central Valley

Miahna Waters led visiting Mt. Spokane with 11 kills and 10 digs and the Wildcats (1-1) swept Central Valley (25-23, 25-19, 25-21) in a nonleague match on Tuesday.

Paige Wollan had nine kills, four blocks and two aces for the Bears (0-3).

Rogers 3, North Central 0: Yana Yasilyeva tallied 14 digs and four aces to lead visiting Rogers (1-2) to a sweep (25-19, 25-12, 25-12) over North Central (0-3) in nonleague match.

Sandpoint 3, Ferris 0: Shelby Kluver recorded 12 digs with nine kills and Sandpoint (1-2) beat visiting Ferris (0-1) in three sets (25-23, 25-20, 25-11) in a nonleague match.

Gonzaga Prep 3, Post Falls 2: Kate Budig had a match-high 20 kills and Emily Zink added 22 assists and four aces to lead visiting Gonzaga Prep (4-0) to a 3-2 win over Post Falls (4-2) in nonleague play. Allie Munday led the Trojans with 16 kills, four blocks and five aces.

Great Northern

Cheney 3, Clarkston 0: Peyton Stark had 10 kills with 22 assists and visiting Cheney (2-0, 1-0) swept (25-17, 26-24, 25-8) Clarkston (1-1, 1-1). Avery Stark recorded four aces with 11 digs for the Blackhawks, while Eva Millan had 12 digs, eight kills and an ace.

Northeast A

Lakeside (WA) 3, Freeman 0: Olivia Mikkelsen recorded 34 assists with five kills to lead Lakeside (3-0, 2-0) to a sweep (25-19, 25-14, 25-21) over visiting Freeman (2-1, 2-1). Alleana Gallagher tallied 24 digs on defense.

Riverside 3, Medical Lake 0: Peyton Stopar spiked seven kills with 10 blocks and Riverside (1-2, 1-1) beat Medical Lake (0-3, 0-3) in straight sets (25-20, 25-10, 25-12). Maddie Winkle added seven kills and Olivia Winkle recorded four aces.

Chewelah 3, Deer Park 1: Krislyn Koler registered 10 kills with 19 digs and Chewelah (2-1, 1-1) beat visiting Deer Park (0-3) in four sets (21-25, 25-13, 25-23, 25-17). Taylor Tarble had 18 kills and 18 digs for Deer Park.

Colville 3, Newport 0: Courtney Schuh had 11 kills and two blocks to help visiting Colville (3-0) over Newport (1-1) in three sets (25-14, 25-22, 25-9). Kora Pitts added 32 assists for Colville, while Rylee Merritt chipped in with 15 digs.

Colfax 3, Northwest Christian 0: Carmen Gfeller had 13 kills and visiting Colfax (2-1) defeated Northwest Christian (1-2) in three sets (25-23, 25-20, 25-29). Gfeller scored four aces and Kylie Kackman added 20 assists. Paige Dawson had six assists for Northwest Christian.

Northeast 1B

Inchelium 3, Curlew 0: Meika Heath had 18 kills with four aces and Inchelium (2-0) beat visiting Curlew (0-2) in a sweep (25-15, 25-17, 31-29). Kaylee Seymour and Randi Finley recorded 12 assists and four aces apiece for the Hornets.

Springdale 3, Wellpinit 0: Chantelle Swiger had 10 kills and Springdale (2-1, 1-0) defeated visiting Wellpinit (0-2, 0-2) in straight sets (25-19, 25-16, 25-17). Matea Gines played well on the defensive side with 18 digs.

Republic 3, Northport 1: Carlie Rittel recorded 12 kills with six blocks and Republic (2-0) defeated visiting Northport (0-2, 0-2) in four sets (22-25, 25-10, 25-17, 25-20). Ashley Baribault contributed four aces for Northport.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 3, Odessa 0: Christa Christopherson recorded five aces with 15 assists and Almira/Coulee-Hartline (3-0) beat Odessa (1-1) in straight sets (25-4, 25-11, 25-10). Mikayla Rushton added fives aces for ACH.

Nonleague

Garfield-Palouse 3, Tekoa-Rosalia 0: Payson Griner tallied 19 kills and a pair of blocks to lead visiting Garfield-Palouse (1-0) to a 3-0 win (25-9, 25-19, 25-15) over Tekoa-Rosalia (0-2). Gwyn Razo led Tekoa-Rosalia with four kills and two blocks.

Oakesdale 3, Liberty 1: Madison Shrope had 27 assists, four aces and two blocks and Oakesdale (3-0) beat visiting Liberty (1-1) in four sets (25-15, 25-16, 16-25, 26-24). Maisie Burnham led the Lancers with 19 kills and nine blocks.

Idaho

Lake City 3, Coeur d’Alene 0: Ashley Kaufman had 12 kills with two aces and Lake City (5-0, 3-0) handled visiting Coeur d’Alene (5-5, 0-3) in a sweep (25-15, 25-21, 25-16) in a 5A Inland Empire League match. Klaire Mitchell added 41 assists with seven kills for the Timberwolves.

Post Falls 3, Moscow 1: Allie Munday had 14 kills, 15 digs and six service aces and Post Falls (4-2) topped Moscow (1-2) in four sets (31-33, 125-18, 25-14, 25-16) in nonleague play.

Timberlake 3, Priest River 0: Kenzie Dean had 11 kills with 10 digs and Timberlake (1-0, 1-1) knocked off Priest River (1-3, 0-1) in straight sets (25-11, 25-15, 25-9) in an Intermountain League match. Mckeeley Tonkin added 12 assists and four aces for the Tigers.

Kootenai 3, Lakeside (ID) 0: Kootenai (1-1, 1-1) beat Lakeside (ID) (1-4, 0-1) in straight sets (25-17, 25-18, 26-24) in a North Star League match.

Lakeland 3, St. Maries 0: Mattisyn Cope had 16 kills, eight digs and three aces and Lakeland (2-2) beat visiting St. Maries (2-2) in three sets (25-14, 25-11, 25-16) in a nonleague match. Brooke Mayberry added 27 assists and three aces for the Hawks.
