Weekend weather: Seasonal temps under mostly sunny skies

From staff reports

With schools back in session across the region, the weather seems to be following suit, leaving summer-like 90 degree temperatures – and even the 80s – behind for the upcoming weekend.

Highs on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in town probably won’t break the 70-degree mark, with highs each day in the upper 60s. Not until Sunday should the high creep back into the low 70s. Lows each night for the next several days will plummet into the upper 40s, and even cooler in outlying areas and North Idaho.

Kootenai County and north will see a slight chance of showers Thursday and into the evening before clearing for the weekend. Highs each day through Saturday will reach the mid-60s with lows in the low- to mid-40s. Sunday the high will stretch back into the low 70s under mostly sunny skies.
