Football roundup: Mt. Spokane rolls to 3-0 with dominant win over Eastmont

Brady Hill carried 11 times for 175 with a touchdown and went 8 of 12 for 144 yards passing and another score and Mt. Spokane (3-0) dominated Eastmont 35-6 in a nonleague game at University HS on Friday night.

Jacob Adams added 110 yards on the ground with three touchdowns for the Wildcats, who rolled up 458 yards total.

Mt. Spokane led 14-0 at half, then exploded for two more TDs in the third quarter – a 23-yard pass from Hill to Jagger Jacobi, and Adams’ 3-yard plunge – to run away from Eastmont in a battle of Wildcats.

West Valley 48, North Central 13: Collin Sather caught touchdown passes of 10 and 17 yards and rushed 25 yards for another score and West Valley (3-0) rolled past visiting North Central (1-2). WV’s Blake Transue tossed three touchdown passes.

Shadle Park 45, East Valley 13: Xavier Wicks rushed 22 times for 184 yards with three touchdowns and visiting Shadle Park (1-1) handled East Valley (1-2) in a nonleague game. Kyle Cozza hauled in four passes for 135 yards with two touchdowns and Carson Doyle went 12 of 16 for 195 yards.

Pullman 34, Moscow 7: Jed Byers powered visiting Pullman (1-1) past Moscow (2-2), pounding 127 yards with two touchdowns on the ground in a 34-7 win. Byers added a receiving TD. Pullman’s Konner Kincaid threw for 242 yards with four touchdowns and Isaiah Strong had five catches for 99 yards with two touchdowns and snatched two interceptions.

Northeast A

Freeman 49, Medical Lake 0: Keegan Cottrell scored two touchdowns and Freeman (2-1, 1-0) defeated visiting Medical Lake (0-3, 0-1) 49-0. Cottrell returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown in the first half and rushed 28 yards for a score in the second half. Desmond Parisotto added a touchdown pass and rush, and Konner Freudenthal had a 4-yard touchdown carry.

Colville 34, Deer Park 7: Jacob Larson rushed for 109 yards with three touchdowns on 13 touches and Colville (2-1, 1-0) moved past visiting Deer Park (2-1, 0-1) 34-7. Dawson Flugel ended with seven catches for 108 yards with a 58-yard touchdown reception and rushed for 80 yards.

Lakeside 34, Riverside 24: Kasen Hunsaker passed for 226 yards with three touchdowns and visiting Lakeside (2-0, 1-0) beat Riverside (2-1, 0-1) 34-24. Drew Shuler returned a kickoff for a touchdown and caught a 29-yard touchdown pass.

Northeast 2B

Reardan 21, Davenport 7: Gabe Zilar ran the ball 11 times for 58 yards with two touchdowns and Reardan (1-2) beat visiting Davenport (2-1) 21-7. Jaden Flett was 6 for 11 for 87 yards and ran it eight times for 32 yards with one touchdown for the Gorillas.

Colfax 47, Wilbur-Creston 18: Christopher Jones rushed for three touchdowns to lead Colfax (1-1, 1-1) over visiting Wilbur-Creston (0-2, 0-2) 47-18. Ben Ahmann returned an interception for a touchdown for the Bulldogs.

Springdale 14, Kettle Falls 0: William Hall and Wyatt Edwards each scored a touchdown and Springdale (1-2) shut down Kettle Falls (0-3) 14-0. Springdale ended with 169 yards rushing while holding Kettle Falls to 25 yards on the ground.

Liberty 21, Asotin 14: Jawuan Nave had 148 yards rushing on 17 carries and Liberty (3-0) beat visiting Asotin (2-1) 21-14. Asotin’s Colton Ball finished with 138 yards on 18 carries.

Northwest Christian 24, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 18 (OT): Silas Perreiah’s 25-yard touchdown run in overtime lifted visiting Northwest Christian (3-0) to a 24-18 overtime win over Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (1-2) 24-18. Perreiah rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns.

Northeast 1B North

Curlew 22, Northport 18: Justin Hanks scored on an 8-yard run in the fourth quarter and Curlew (1-1, 1-0) edged visiting Northport (1-2, 0-1) 22-18. Gunner Hilderbrandt threw two touchdown passes, including a 12-yard scoring strike to Hanks.

Cusick 54, Inchelium 0: Tanner Shanholtzer was 3 of 5 for 64 yards with two touchdowns and carried four times for 48 yards and a touchdown as Cusick (2-1, 0-0) walloped visiting Inchelium (0-3, 0-1) 54-0. Jed Cupp added four carries for 69 yards and three touchdowns – of 32, 31 and 1 yards – for the Panthers.

Odessa 82, Tekoa-Rosalia 12: Marcus King caught four touchdown passes and rushed for another to help Odessa (2-0) rout visiting Tekoa-Rosalia (1-1) 82-12. King finished with 79 yards rushing and 76 yards receiving and led the team in tackles with 10. Gaven Elder had six carries for 130 yards and a touchdown for Odessa.

Entiat 54, Wellpinit 0: Visiting Entiat (2-0, 1-0) cruised past Wellpinit (0-2, 0-1) 54-0.

White Star

Kootenai 56, Mullan 28: Gage Maitland was 8 for 16 for 257 yards passing, four touchdowns and he ran seven times for 86 yards with a touchdown and Kootenai (2-0) beat visiting Mullan (0-2) 56-28. Andrew Whipple had three catches for 88 yards with two touchdowns and ran the ball 18 times for 184 yards with a touchdown for the Warriors.

Nonleague

Garfield-Palouse 50, Lakeside (ID) 12: Evan Weagraff rushed for 143 yards with three touchdowns on five carries to lead Garfield-Palouse (2-0) over visiting Lakeside (1-2, 1-1) 50-12. Weagraff had scoring runs of 75, 31 and 37 yards. Daniel Orfe added 140 yards with three rushing touchdowns for the Vikings.

Colton 46, Wallace 38: Parker Druffel passed for 279 yards and rushed for 153 yards with five touchdowns to lead Colton (1-1, 0-0) to a 46-38 win over visiting Wallace (3-1, 2-0).

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 40, Touchet 8: Hayden Loomis rushed for 96 yards with two touchdowns on seven carries and visiting Almira/Coulee-Hartline (2-1) handled Touchet (0-1) 40-8. Tucker Zappone caught a 51-yard touchdown pass from Maguire Isaak, who passed for two scores and ran for another.

Selkirk 58, St. John-Endicott 26: Visiting Selkirk (3-0) ran away from St. John-Endicott (0-2) with a 22-6 fourth quarter in a 58-26 triumph.

St. Maries 30, Priest River 19: Bryce Willett ran three times for 35 yards and a touchdown and St. Maries (2-2) beat visiting Priest River (1-2) 30-19. Dausen O’Brien ran the ball eight times for 40 yards and a touchdown for the Spartans.

Bonners Ferry 28, Thompson Falls (Montana) 26: The Badgers (1-3) edged Thompson Falls in overtime.
