Slowpitch roundup: Sadie Bocook homers and Mead sweeps North Central

Mead 10-13, North Central 0-1: Sadie Bocook launched a three-run shot in the fourth inning to help lead Mead (3-1) to a 13-1 win over North Central (1-3) in the second game of a double header at Mead.

Peyton Cushner logged a pair of singles and a double for the Panthers in the first game.

Gonzaga Prep 15-4, Shadle Park 14-13: Ariel Hall tallied four hits and Shadle Park (1-2) handled Gonzaga Prep (1-3) 13-4 in the second game of a doubleheader on Friday at Gonzaga Prep.

In the early game, Jaden Raley-Jones collected three singles and a triple and drove in a pair of runs to lead the Bullpups. Meghan Keenan drove in four runs on five hits for Shadle Park.

Central Valley 7-6, East Valley 2-2: Gianna McCoy went 2 for 3 and drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh as Central Valley (4-0) beat East Valley (1-3) in the second game of a doubleheader at East Valley. Cee Cee Lucero was 2 for 3 with a double for East Valley.

Grace Stumbough went 2 for 4 with two runs for the Bears in the first game. Emma Glore went 1 for 3 with an RBI for East Valley.

Rogers 8-14, Lewis and Clark 4-6: Jalyn Snyder 4 for 4 with four runs, four RBIs, a double and a two-run home run as Rogers (2-1, 2-1) thumped Lewis and Clark (1-3, 1-3) in the second game of a doubleheader on Friday at Lewis and Clark.

Gracie Olsen went 3 for 4 with a two-run home run, a triple and four RBIs for the Pirates. Taylor John went 3 for 4 with two RBIs for the Tigers.

Ryan James went 4 for 4 with a solo home run and two runs for the Pirates in the first game. Caroline Johnson went 2 for 3 for the Tigers.

University 21-11, Ferris 1-1: Brianna Hecker and Gracee Dwyer hit home runs and University (4-0) routed Ferris (1-3) 11-1 in the second game of a doubleheader at Ferris.

Dwyer crushed a home run and a double among three hits to lead University in the first game.
