From staff reports

Detectives have arrested a woman suspected of prowling cars parked by parents rushing to reunite with their children in the wake of the Freeman school shooting.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said detectives arrested Nicole D. Jensen, 33. They are searching for a second, as-yet identified suspect.

One woman with a child at the school reported her purse had been stolen. After the car prowling was reported and after investigators noted that $36,000 in fraudulent charges had been made, tips poured into investigators. Investigators noted that the crime was especially egregious as worried parents hurried to find their children.

They arrested Jensen at her residence in the 2400 block of E. South Riverton. She has been cooperative, according to a press release.

Jensen is jailed on charges of theft, forgery, and possession of stolen property. She also had a warrant for an older trespassing crime in Airway Heights.
