From staff reports

A car jumped a parking barrier and lodge nose-first into a South Hill basement apartment Thursday night.

KHQ reports that, according to witnesses, the driver was trying to apply the breaks but hit the gas instead, sending the vehicle over the barrier and into the side of the building at 6th and Adams. Photos and video from the crash show the rear half of the car suspended several inches off the ground.

The apartment was vacant, and the driver was unhurt.
