EWU men first, women second in WAR XI track and field meet

The Eastern Washington men won the team title at the WAR XI track and field meet Saturday while the women placed second.

Eighteen men’s and 19 women’s teams competed. Central Washington won the women’s title.

Dawson Lack won the 100 meters in 11.03 seconds and Logan Stahl took the 800 in 1:51.55 for EWU. Trenton won the long jump at 21 feet, 6 inches, Scott Miller was first in the shot put at 49-4 1/4 and Tim Beard was the hammer champ at 186-9.

Madison Doepker won the women’s hammer at 166-6. The Eagles’ 4x100 relay team of Alexis Rolan, Sophie Bowles, Bella Millsap and Rebecca Tarbert, won in 48.91.
