Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is coming to downtown Spokane

Put on a pink bow and say hello to the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck, which is making its first visit to Spokane as part of a cross-country tour.

Sanrio’s Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is slated to roll into town on Saturday, April 21, and park in front of River Park Square, 808 W. Main Ave., from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Find the popular food truck near the south mall entrance by Williams-Sonoma. There, fans will be able to find Hello Kitty Cafe eats as well as collectibles.

Look for giant cookies, pocket pies, three-piece boxed cookie sets, four-piece petit fours sets, five-piece macaron sets, bow-shaped water bottles and headbands, stainless steel thermal bottles, keychains and T-shirts.

After Spokane, the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will head for Seattle then Chicago.

The food truck, which debuted in October 2014, usually draws hundreds of fans at each of its stops.

Two Hello Kitty Cafe Trucks have visited more than 60 cities from Los Angeles to Chicago and Houston and New York.

Hello Kitty was created in 1974. The cartoon character first appeared in the U.S. in 1976.
