Great Floors expands its Western Washington footprint with purchase of Vancouver company

Great Floors of Coeur d’Alene has expanded its footprint with the purchase of Michael’s Floor Covering in Vancouver, Washington.
The acquisition grows Great Floors’ presence in Western Washington, giving the company 12 locations along the Interstate 5 corridor.
Both companies are family-owned, serving clients ranging from individuals to builders and commercial clients, said Doug Chadderdon, Great Floors president and CEO.
Michael’s Floor Covering was founded in 2010 by Mike Haasl, with operations in the Vancouver-Portland area.
Great Floors was founded nearly 50 years ago. The company is headquartered in Coeur d’Alene and has more than 500 employees in locations from Bozeman to the Seattle area, including in the Spokane area, as well as the Tri-Cities, Yakima and Meridian, Idaho.
Great Floors also makes counter tops and does kitchen and bathroom design at its granite production facility in Post Falls.
