Prep baseball roundup: Brady Hill drives in game-winner as Mt. Spokane edges Central Valley

Brady Hill singled to drive in Devon Lusk in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Mt. Spokane Wildcats (15-2 overall, 14-1 GSL) edged the visiting Central Valley Bears (12-5, 10-5) in Greater Spokane League baseball action on Monday.

Stu Flesland pitched a complete game, striking out 11, to earn the victory. The front-running Wildcats moved two games ahead of second-place Gonzaga Prep.

Shadle Park 4, Mead 3: Blake Wells drove in the winning run with a single in the bottom of the eighth and Julian Gonzalez went the distance on the mound to lead the Highlanders (8-9, 7-8) past the visiting Panthers (12-4, 11-4).

Ferris 12, Lewis and Clark 5: Eric Mast went 2 for 2 with a two-run home run and three RBIs and the Saxons (10-7, 9-6) breezed to a victory over the visiting Tigers (5-12, 4-11).

University 4, Gonzaga Prep 3: Carson Lundmark struck out nine, giving up seven hits and one earned run, and went 3 for 4 at the plate, including a two-run homer to guide the visiting Titans (2-14, 1-14), last in the GSL standings, to an upset win over the Bullpups (13-4, 12-3).

Reardan 15-14, Davenport 11-24: Eric Alvarez drilled an inside-the-park home run and the Indians defeated the Gorillas in the first game of a Northeast 2B doubleheader.

Peyton Buchanan had two hits and drove in five runs and the Gorillas bounced back to 10-run the Indians in six innings in the nightcap.

Bonners Ferry 11, Kellogg 1: Brady Bateman belted a home run and added a pair of doubles and Chris Sabin pitched a complete game, striking out eight, to lead the Baders past the visiting Wildcats.
