Morning prep roundup: Kelsey Gumm and Central Valley stay undefeated with comeback win over Mead

Softball: Kelsey Gumm struck out 11 and visiting Central Valley (16-0, 15-0) rallied late to edge Mead (9-8, 9-6) 5-3 in a Greater Spokane League game on Friday.

The Bears’ Hannah Wampler drove in two runs with a pair of doubles.

Central Valley leads Mt. Spokane by two games for the top spot in the league.

Baseball: Tyler Staley homered and singled with two RBIs and visiting Mt. Spokane (17-3, 16-2) blanked North Central (7-13, 6-12) 11-0.

Mt. Spokane has a two game lead over Gonzaga Prep for first place.

Soccer: Gabe Keller scored twice and visiting Lewis and Clark defeated Gonzaga Prep 2-1.

The Tigers are level with Ferris at the top of the GSL.
