Spokane chef Jeremy Hansen is teaming up with Catholic Charities Eastern Washington for the nonprofit’s inaugural “Dig In” dinner and fundraiser.
Tickets for the Aug. 23 event are on sale now for $65 per person. They can be purchased online at www.catholiccharitiesspokane.org/dig-in-registration.
Hansen is catering the event, which will also feature local beer and wine, hands-on farmers market activity booths and a dessert dance. Money raised with help Catholic Charities fight food insecurity in this region.
Tickets include two drinks and five food tastings: gazpacho with edible flowers and micro greens, lamb gyro with pita bread and grilled summer veggies, charcuterie and cheese, sausage from Sante and a sweet crepe. The dill, kale, micro greens and edible flowers are all grown at Catholic Charities’ Food for All Farm.
The event runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at the old Washington Cracker Co. building, 304 W. Pacific Ave.
