Police searching for car with Idaho plates that struck pedestrian in Spokane

From staff reports

Spokane police are searching for a car that struck a pedestrian Sunday afternoon on the lower South Hill.

Police were called to Sixth Avenue and Bishop Court, two blocks west of Shriners Hospital for Children, about 4 p.m. where the pedestrian had been hit, Spokane police said in a news release.

Witnesses told officers that a dark, smaller, four-door sedan with an Idaho license plate struck the pedestrian and fled the scene. The pedestrian was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive.

Investigators have collected video from the area and are encouraging the driver to come forward.

Anyone with information on the crash should call (509) 456-2233.
