Girls basketball: Northwest Christian tops Genesis Prep to remain unbeaten

Ellie Sander scored 17 points to lead visiting Northwest Christian (3-0) to a 60-51 win over Genesis Prep (2-1) on Saturday in nonleague action. Bella Murekatete led the Jaguars with 27 points.

Northeast 1B

Curlew 47, Selkirk 36: Korin Baker scored 26 points and the Cougars (1-0, 1-0) defeated the visiting Rangers (2-2, 1-1).

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 58, Wellpinit 31: Sarah Bradshaw had 12 rebounds while Gabi Isaak had eight rebounds with five steals, each netting 14 points, as the Warriors (1-0, 1-0) topped the visiting Redskins (1-2, 0-2).

Inchelium 85, Cusick 32: Cloey Simpson scored 15 points and the visiting Hornets (2-1) stung the Panthers (1-2).

Southeast 1B

Oakesdale 51, St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse 32: Logan Reed scored 13 points and the Nighthawks (3-0, 2-0) beat the visiting Eagles (2-1, 0-2). Alynn Harder lead St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse with eight points.

Pomeroy 52, Garfield-Palouse 21: Maddy Dixon had 16 points with nine rebounds and the visiting Pirates (5-0) defeated the Vikings (4-1).

Colton 69, Touchet 15: Dakota Patchen led the way with 22 points as the Wildcats (3-0) defeated the visiting Indians (0-3).

Nonleague

East Valley 59, Timberlake 33: Faith Adams scored 14 points and the Knights (6-0) beat the visiting Tigers (7-1). Brooke Jessen lead Timberlake in scoring with 14 points.

Davenport 59, Reardan 36: Darby Soliday scored 17 points to lead the Gorillas (3-1) over the visiting Indians (1-2). Kim Dewey lead Rearden with 15 points.

Kettle Falls 67, Tekoa-Rosalia 43: Mya Edwards led a balanced attack with 13 points and the Bulldogs (3-3) bested the visiting Timberwolves (0-5).

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 60, Wilbur-Creston 34: Eliza Galbreath scored 19 points and the visiting Broncos (2-2) used a big fourth quarter to pull away from the Wildcats (2-2).

Omak 47, Colville 45: Centaya Mendoza scored 19 points leading the visiting Pioneers (4-1) past the Indians (1-2).

Chewleah 49, Newport 42: Alyssa Fitzgerald scored 21 points and the visiting Cougars (2-2) held off the Grizzlies (1-1).

Colfax 56, St. George’s 50: Kierstyn York scored 15 of her 27 points in the second quarter and the Bulldogs (1-3) beat the visiting Dragons (2-3). Cambrie Rickard and Abby Jones lead St. George’s in scoring with 13 points each.

Lakeland 39, Lakeside (WA) 36: Katy Ryan scored 18 points and the visiting Hawks (3-1) defeated the Eagles (0-5). Joy Mahowald scored 14 points for Lakeside.

Sandpoint 55, Bonners Ferry 29: Dawson Driggs scored 18 points and the visiting Bulldogs (1-5) beat the Badgers (5-2). Jerzie Pluid led Bonners Ferry in scoring with eight points.
