GSL basketball: Gonzaga Prep boys have winning streak snapped by Bishop Gorman

Max Allen scored 15 points and Bishop Gorman (3-1) defeated Gonzaga Prep (2-1) 54-52 on Saturday at the Hoophall West Invitational in Phoenix.

The loss snaps the Bullpups’ 29-game winning streak, which stretched back to the 2017 State 4A tournament.

Gonzaga commit Anton Watson scored 22 points for Gonzaga Prep, while Liam Lloyd added 17.

Pullman 64, Rogers 43: Jake Wells made four 3-pointers as a part of a 28-point night as the undefeated Greyhounds (5-0) topped the visiting Pirates (2-3).

Shadle Park 65, West Valley 64 (OT): Demarius Brown scored 23 points, including going 10 of 12 from the free-throw line, to lead the Highlanders (2-1) past the visiting Eagles (2-1).

GSL Girls

Mead 66, Wenatchee 53: Daysha Melendez and Jordynn Hutchinson each tallied 13 points and eight rebounds and visiting Mead (3-2) defeated Wenatchee (0-4).

West Valley 78, Shadle Park 32: Nevaeh Sherwood scored 19 points and the visiting Eagles (3-1) topped the Highlanders (1-4).
