Police: Woman shot to death in possible murder-suicide

COVINGTON, Wash. – Authorities say a woman was shot to death and man was found dead in a possible suicide after a standoff southeast of Seattle in Covington.

The King County Sheriff’s Office says authorities responded Thursday afternoon to a report that someone had been shot and found a 30-year-old woman dead inside a home.

The sheriff’s office said Thursday evening that a 32-year-old man was later found dead in a bedroom in the house of an apparent gunshot wound and that they weren’t looking for any suspects.

King County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Ryan Abbott said deputies had evacuated others from the home and then surrounded it searching for a suspect.

Using a camera and robot to peer into a bedroom, the Seattle Times reported deputies found the man lying on a bed with a shotgun.
