GSL girls basketball: Quincy McDeid scores 1000th career point, North Central tops Walla Walla

Quincy McDeid scored 14 points and North Central (7-4) beat Walla Walla (4-6) 38-29 in the Avista Holiday Tournament on Saturday at Lewis-Clark State College. McDeid scored her 1,000th career point for the Indians.

CV Holiday Hoops Tournament

University 66, Mercer Island 22: Kinsley Barrington scored 18 points and the Titans (8-3) beat the visiting Islanders (0-11) in the Central Valley Holiday Hoops Tournament. Angelina Barokas led Mercer Island with 14 points.

Central Valley 62, Moses Lake 40: Camryn Skaife scored 20 points and the Bears (8-1) defeated the Chiefs (5-5) in the Central Valley Holiday Hoops Tournament. Tomekia Whitman had a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Madisyn Clark led Moses Lake with 21 points.

Glacier Peak Holiday Tournament

Glacier Peak 49, Lewis and Clark 40: Aaliyah Collins scored 13 points and the Grizzlies (10-1) defeated the Tigers (9-2) in the Top of the Peak Tournament. Jacinta Buckley led Lewis and Clark with 20 points, 15 rebounds and three steals.

Tualatin Elite 8 Invite

Wilsonville (Ore.) 53, Gonzaga Prep 45: Reese Timm scored 15 points and the Wildcats (6-4) beat the Bullpups (8-3) at Tualatin (Ore.) HS. Demi Howlett led Gonzaga Prep with 19 points, seven rebounds and five steals.
