Gonzaga-CSU Bakersfield key matchup: Damiyne Durham gives Roadrunners boost off bench

UPDATED: Mon., Dec. 31, 2018

This is probably a key matchup first, but we’re going with a non starter. Senior guard Damiyne Durham will go down as one of the top players in CSU Bakersfield history despite making just 24 starts – none this season – in 99 career games.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pounder from Oakwood, Texas, plays starter minutes (26 per game). The program’s all-time leader in 3-pointers has hit 31 this season and he’s closing in on the career scoring record.

Durham, a preseason All-WAC selection, averages 11.6 points and 3.3 rebounds. Of his 128 field-goal attempts, 88 have been 3-pointers.

Zach Norvell Jr. or Corey Kispert will probably draw the defensive assignment when Durham checks in, typically early in the first half.
