Gonzaga’s Johnathan Williams named WCC player of the week
UPDATED: Mon., Feb. 12, 2018

Gonzaga senior forward Johnathan Williams, who collected two double-doubles last week, was named WCC player of the week.
Williams had 12 points, 11 rebounds and two assists in Gonzaga’s 78-65 road win over Saint Mary’s on Saturday. He was instrumental as the Zags employed double teams to slow down Gaels’ center Jock Landale, who scored just four points.
Williams finished with 10 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks in a 71-61 victory over Pacific on Thursday.
The Memphis native has four straight double-doubles and nine this season. He committed just one turnover in 71 minutes in the two wins.
Williams was selected WCC player of the week in late November after helping the Zags go 2-1 at the PK80 in Portland. He averaged 23.3 points and seven rebounds in three games.
