Boys basketball: Danny Bradbury’s 19 points leads Newport to third place in District 7 1A

Danny Bradbury scored 19 points and No. 10-rated Newport (16-6) eliminated Medical Lake (11-13) 67-22 in the District 7 1A third-place game at West Valley HS.
The Grizzlies travel to the Caribou Trail League tournament champion in a crossover game for a berth to regionals on Saturday.
Koa Pancho scored 13 points and Owen Leslie added 11 for Newport.
Medical Lake shot 6 of 44 from the field. Derek Steege led the Cardinals with 10 points.
Odessa 65, Columbia 27: Ryan Moffet scored 21 points and the Tigers (20-3) eliminated the Lions (11-11) in a District 7 1B loser-out at Deer Park HS.
Odessa faces Cusick – both No. 1 seeds at the start of the tourney – in a loser-out game on Friday at Deer Park.
Marcus King added 10 points for the Tigers, rated No. 7 in WIAA’s RPI calculations.
Corbin Nelson led Columbia with 13 points.
Cusick 72, Selkirk 30: Colton Hansen scored 21 points and the Panthers (16-6) eliminated the Rangers (12-10) in a District 7 1B loser-out at Deer Park HS.
Ethan Hardie scored 14 points and Dylan Hendershott added 10 for Cusick, which outscored Selkirk 13-1 in the fourth quarter.
Justin Krabbenhoft led Selkirk with nine points.
