Man shot near Corbin Park; police searching for shooter

A man was shot near Corbin Park on Wednesday night around 7 p.m. before running to his nearby home to call 911, according to Spokane Police.

The man, whose name and age haven’t been released, suffered injuries that were serious but not life-threatening, police said.

Police, including a K-9 unit, were still searching for the suspected shooter late Wednesday night.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set white man with red hair who about stands about 6-foot-2, according to the police scanner.

No others details were provided before press time.
