Gonzaga wasted no time, constructing a 17-0 lead in the first 5-plus minutes. All five starters scored in the stretch, including 3-pointers by Josh Perkins, Zach Norvell Jr. and Johnathan Williams. LMU finally cracked the scoreboard on Eli Scott’s bucket with 14:25 left in the half.

Offensive player of the game

Freshman wing Corey Kispert scored a team-high 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting, including 2 of 4 on 3-pointers. He had seven points in the first half as GU built a 19-point lead. It was Kispert’s first game in double figures since going for 23 against Portland on Jan. 25.

Defensive player of the game

Junior point guard Josh Perkins did a solid job defensively on several different Lions. He spent time on Cameron Allen (2 of 9 field goals), Erik Johansson (1 of 4) and Joe Quintana (0 of 4).
