Shoe retailer Skechers opens factory outlet in Spokane Valley

Feb. 19, 2018 Updated Fri., Feb. 23, 2018 at 5:43 p.m.

From Staff Reports

California-based shoe retailer Skechers USA Inc. has opened a new location at the corner of Sprague Avenue and Evergreen Road in the Spokane Valley.

“Open Now” signs were posted Friday morning at the new Skechers storefront in the Evergreen Marketplace Shopping Center. The factory outlet store at 14008 Sprague Ave. is the company’s second location in the area; an outlet at 9324 N. Division St. opened nearly two years ago.

Representatives at the company’s Manhattan Beach, California, headquarters would not discuss the new store when contacted for comment earlier in the week.

Skechers was founded in 1992 and sells casual and athletic shoes and accessories for men, women and children. Its products can be purchased at department, specialty and independent stores, as well as through more than 2,600 Skechers retail stores and online throughout the U.S. and in 160 countries and territories, according to its website.
