Thief steals handmade blanket from Idaho home

Associated Press

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – An Idaho family says a thief stole a package containing an irreplaceable blanket for their 7-year-old daughter off the doorstep of their Coeur d’Alene home.

The Coeur d’Alene Press reports the package contained a blanket that was made by a grandmother, and it was delivered on Saturday when the Clements family was away.

Nate Clements says when they left the home again later that day, the opened mail was returned but the contents were still missing.

Nate Clements says his mother who lives in Texas made the special blanket for his daughter, and his daughter was heartbroken over the theft.
