For years, summer in Washington has been marked by Dave Matthews Band spending Labor Day weekend at the Gorge Amphitheatre. After taking a break from the road in 2017, the band is back with a new album and a summer tour, which brings them to the Gorge on Aug. 31 through Sept. 2.
The album, scheduled for a summer release, is the band’s ninth studio album and its first since 2012’s “Away From the World.”
The band’s summer tour begins in The Woodlands, Texas in May and includes stops in Denver, Chicago, West Palm Beach, Florida, Denver and Bend, Oregon. The tour wraps up on Sept. 10 with a performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
