Girls basketball: Melody Kempton scores 26 points and Post Falls defeats Mt. Spokane

Melody Kempton scored 26 points and the Trojans defeated the Wildcats 67-47 in nonleague action on Thursday. Post Falls came out strong with 21 points in the first quarter and built on their lead the rest of the way. Aspyn Adams paced Mt. Spokane with 14 points.

North Central 45, Shadle Park 36: Kyara Sayers scored 16 points and the Indians (5-3 GSL) beat the Highlanders (1-7) in the Groovy Shoes game at the Arena. Jillian Groves led Shadle Park with 12 points.

Bonners Ferry 69, Post Falls JV 51: Miranda Wenk scored 20 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead Wampus Cats to a victory over the Trojans.
