A 58-year-old man died Wednesday following a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 95 south of Coeur d’Alene.
Around noon, Michael D. Pitts, of Coeur d’Alene, crossed the center line heading north near Mica Grade after failing to negotiate a curve, according to Idaho State Police.
Pitts, who was driving a 1989 Toyota truck, was killed when he struck a southbound 2016 Ford F-350 driven by Floyd K. Morris.
Morris, a 52-year-old Post Falls man, rolled down an embankment in his vehicle. He and his passenger, Matthew T. Little, were treated and released at the scene.
