Girls basketball: Makenzie Packwood helps No. 8 Clarkston edge Pullman

Makinzie Packwood scored 11 points and No. 8 rated Clarkston (13-3, 8-2) edged visiting Pullman (3-14, 0-9) 48-46 in a Great Northern League game on Wednesday. Rian Clear led Pullman with 16 points.

Chewelah 39: Reardan 35: Krislyn Koler scored 22 points and the Cougars (9-6) beat the Indians (6-9) in a nonleague game. Kim Dewey led Reardan with 15 points.

St. Maries 43, Liberty 39: Kaci Haeg scored 11 points to lead a balanced attack and the Lumberjacks (10-5) beat the visiting Lancers (10-5) in a nonleague game. Maisie Burnham led Liberty with 16 points and Aleena Cook added 11.
