Boys basketball: Colby Gennett helps Post Falls top Coeur d’Alene

Colby Gennett scored 14 points, Jake Pfennigs added 13 and Post Falls (12-4, 4-0) beat Coeur d’Alene (7-8, 2-2) 51-40 in a 5A Inland Empire League matchup on Thursday. Sam Matheson led Coeur d’Alene with 13 points.
Moscow 67, Lakeland 49: Ben Postell scored 18 points and the Bears (6-11, 3-0 IEL) beat the Hawks (10-4). Josh Nielson led Lakeland with 15 points.
St. Maries 42, Timberlake (ID) 31: Glover Buell scored 16 points and the Lumberjacks (11-3) beat the Tigers (6-8) in a nonleague game. Jordan Hardy led Timberlake with nine points.
Deary 57, Kootenai 37: Jalen Kirk scored 26 points and the Mustangs (10-2) beat the Warriors (0-11) in a nonleague game. Triston Usdroki led Kootenai with 13 points.
