Boys basketball: Jake Wells scores 22 points, Pullman continues to cruise in GNL play

Jake Wells tallied 22 points and Pullman (10-0 GNL) defeated visiting West Valley (6-5) 64-51 on Saturday in a Great Northern League game.

Collin Sather led West Valley with 14 points.

Cheney 73, East Valley 55: Trae Babcock and Cole Omlin scored 16 points apiece and the visiting Blackhawks (4-5 GNL) beat the Knights (1-10). Jordan Pennington led East Valley with 12 points.

Northeast 2B

St. George’s 81, Davenport 48: Xander Werkman scored 18 points and the visiting Dragons (13-0 NE 2B) beat the Gorillas (6-7). Peyton Buchanan led Davenport with 15 points.

Northwest Christian 63, Kettle Falls 48: Jacob Gray scored 16 points and the Crusaders (10-3 NE 2B) defeated the visiting Bulldogs (3-10). Dakota Crumpler led Kettle Falls with 16 points.

Asotin 59, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 54: Eli Engledow scored 16 points and the visiting Panthers (6-7 NE 2B) beat the Broncos (8-5). Bryce Kelly led Lind-Ritzville/Sprague with 16 points.

Northeast 1B

Odessa 68, Columbia 33: Ryan Moffet scored 16 points and the visiting Tigers (14-0 NE1B) beat the Lions (7-7) in Hunters. Matthew Robson led Columbia with 12 points.

Cusick 77, Northport 31: Dylan Hendershott scored 18 points and the Panthers (13-3 NE 1B) raced past the visiting Mustangs (3-12). Trenton Baribault led Northport with 14 points.

Selkirk 55, Curlew 12: Jay Link scored 13 points and the Rangers (9-5 NE 1B) defeated the visiting Panthers (1-16) in Ione. Jacob Mills led Curlew with seven points.

Inchelium 58, Republic 47: Skyler Stensgar scored 13 points and the Hornets (3-12 NE 1B) defeated the visiting Tigers (4-10). Lucas Larsen had 15 points for Republic.

Southeast 1B

Oakesdale 53, Pomeroy 48: Jacob Himes scored 20 points and the visiting Nighthawks (10-2 SE 1B) beat the Pirates (10-2). Jake Tewalt led Pomeroy with 20 points.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 53, Wellpinit 44: Maguire Isaak scored 28 points and the Warriors (11-2 NE 1B) beat the visiting Redskins (9-4) in Coulee City. Payton Nielsen added 10 points with 21 rebounds for ACH. Tyrone Dorris led Wellpinit with 14 points.

Colton 79, Waitsburg 24.

Nonleague

Liberty 70, Medical Lake 54: Justin Jeske scored 18 points with 11 rebounds and the Lancers defeated the visiting Cardinals. Skylar Johnson led Medical Lake with 16 points.

Colfax 66, Tekoa-Rosalia 37: Carson Cloaninger scored 31 points and the Bulldogs (11-2 NE 2B) beat the visiting Timberwolves (1-12). Craig Mueller led Tekoa-Rosalia with 15 points.

Idaho

Kellogg 71, Timberlake (ID) 46: Chase Jerome scored 17 points and the visiting Wildcats (2-0 Intermountain League) beat the Bears (2-2). Dawson Cramer led Timberlake with 11 points.

St. Maries 65, Grangeville 53: Glover Buell scored 21 points and the Lumberjacks (3-0 Central Idaho League) downed the visiting Bulldogs (0-2). Noah Kaschmitter led Grangeville with 17 points.

Post Falls 68, Sandpoint 33: Jacob Pfennigs scored 17 points and the Trojans cruised past the visiting Bulldogs in a nonleague game. Robbie Johnson led Sandpoint with 11 points.

Coeur d’Alene 70, Moscow 61: Sam Matheson scored 22 points and the Vikings beat the Bears in a nonleague game. Cooper Stephens led Moscow with 17 points.
