Spokane Backcountry Film Festival returns

The Spokane Backcountry Film Festival is back, this year with a full slate of films covering everythign from the environment to adventure.

The films will be shown February 1 at Gonzaga University’s Hemmingson Center Auditorium. The event is co-hosted by Gonzaga Outdoors, the Spokane Mountaineers and the Spokane Mountaineers Foundation. Proceeds support the Winter Wildland Alliance and the protection of non-motorized winter recreation in the Lookout Pass-Stevens Peak area, according to a news release.

Doors open 6 p.m. Films begin 7 p.m. Admission is $10. Puchase tickets at backcountryfilmfestival.org or at the door.
