Police arrest man suspected in at least three home burglaries in North Central

Police arrested a man Saturday evening who may be linked to several burglaries in northeast Spokane.

Chance M. Holland, 22, is accused of being involved in at least three burglaries in the North Central neighborhood, Spokane police said in a news release. Several homes were broken into and thousands of dollars worth of property were stolen in those incidents, according to police.

Holland was arrested Saturday evening after a woman was able to track some of her stolen property to a home in North Central, the release said. The woman saw Holland carrying some of her stolen belongings and called police, according to police.

Officers tracked Holland, who fled on foot through neighbors’ yards, to a nearby property where he was taken into custody without incident. Police said Holland was in possession of numerous stolen items, including a wedding ring and drugs.

In addition to those burglaries, the release said, Holland is suspected of arriving to at least one crime scene in a stolen vehicle.

Holland faces two charges of residential burglary and several charges of possessing stolen property. Further charges could be forthcoming.

According to court records, Holland was also arrested in mid-June under suspicion of stealing a vehicle.
