Former Gonzaga Bulldog Kyle Wiltjer will spend next season with Unicaja Malaga, the Spanish professional team announced.

Wiltjer, who reportedly agreed to a one-year deal, is Unicaja Malaga’s first offseason signing. The 6-foot-10 forward played most of last season for Olympiacos in Greece.

Wiltjer, a Portland native, tweeted last week that he was set to play for the Trail Blazers’ summer-league team, but he confirmed in a text message his plans changed when he neared an agreement with Unicaja Malaga.

Domantas Sabonis, Wiltjer’s former GU teammate, made his professional debut as a 16-year-old with Unicaja Malaga in 2012.

Wiltjer averaged 7.6 points and 3 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game with Olympiacos. He made nearly 46 percent beyond the 3-point line and 81 percent at the free-throw line.
