A day before he was slated to make his NBA Summer League debut with the Los Angeles Clippers, former Eastern Washington guard Bogdan Bliznyuk signed a multiyear deal with Israel’s Bnei Herzliya.

Bnei Herzliya, which plays in Israel’s top professional division, announced the signing on Thursday. Details of the contract were not reported.

The 6-foot-6 guard was named the Big Sky Conference Player of the Year last season after setting the league’s all-time scoring mark (2,169). He went undrafted last month but signed a summer league contract with the Clippers.

Bliznyuk was on the bench in the Clippers’ summer league opener Friday against the Golden State Warriors but did not see playing time.

The Federal Way, Washington, product joins a club that last season featured former U.S. college standouts Jeff Adrien (UConn) and Taurean Green (Florida).

Herzliya is on the central coast of Israel in the Tel Aviv District. The city of about 100,000 residents is known for its affluence and start-up companies.
