Three-vehicle collision injures two; one airlifted
Two people were injured in a three-vehicle collision Friday near Royal City.
Washington State Patrol troopers say a 2006 Nissan Altima driven by 24-year-old Rojelio Estebanpineda of Othello, Washington, was traveling southbound on Road M approaching Highway 26 when he failed to stop at a stop sign and hit an eastbound vehicle, which lost control and hit a third vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 26.
The car Estebanpineda hit was carrying 53-year-old Deanna Russell, who was transported by ambulance to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake, and 20-year-old Chloe Adrian, who was airlifted to the same hospital.
Nobody in the third car was injured.
Estebanpineda was cited with failing to yield.
