A Colfax teen was crowned international junior auctioneer champion in Jacksonville, Florida, this weekend.

Cotton Booker, whose family owns and operates Booker Auction Co., in Colfax, is one of several members of the family business to make it to the championships. Another member of the Booker family, Camille Booker, was crowned top woman auctioneer in 2011 and C.D. “Butch” Booker won in 2008, according to a Tri-City Herald article.

The Junior Auctioneer championship features competitors between the ages of 12 and 18 and is a part of the National Auctioneers Association’s 69th annual conference and show, according to an NAA news release.
