The Mariners scored five runs in the first inning and three more in the eighth inning, thanks in large part to Healy’s home runs.

Former Gonzaga Bulldogs pitcher Marco Gonzales was nearly flawless on the mound Sunday for the Mariners, giving up just four hits and striking out six batters in 6.1 innings of work. This performance by Gonzales notched him his eleventh win of the season, which is the most on the Mariners and tied for fifth in the American League.
The Mariners have Monday off before beginning a two-game series against the San Francisco Giants.
