Unpatriotic leadership

I am a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel who served as a pilot in Vietnam. With regard to the letter to the editor by John Pilley of July 22, 2018 (“No longer a patriot”), I agree with what he says and also carry a sense of alienation from the current meaning of patriotism. However, what is not patriotic is the self-serving, egocentric leadership of our nation.
