Small plane hits car after missing runway near Snohomish

Associated Press

SNOHOMISH, Wash. – A small plane hit a car after overshooting the runway at an airfield near Snohomish.

The Seattle Times reports that three people, including a child, were in a single-engine plane when it was approaching the Harvey Air Field on Saturday.

Lt. Rick Hawkins of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office says the plane descended at the far end of the field, ran through a chain-link fence and collided with a car – which had one person inside.

Hawkins says no one was hurt in the incident. There was minimal damage to the car and plane.
